well...the cables came out nice, but that one edge has a lot of mistakes due to overzealous desire to keep purling. i didn't even catch the mistakes until i saw it scanned in.
I have figured out a way, albeit definitely a bit scary, to fix it when I notice a wrong-way-done purl or knit stitch.
scary, because it involves dropping the stitch and letting it run down to the mistake.
doubly scary (for me) because then the best way to get it back is to use a crochet hook to re-loop things properly. it is exciting, tho, when you realize that you fixed it and it worked...
NOT that i am recommending that for your washcloth!
